room with a view

The visual language for Time's Arrow started with a view from a room, and that visual language is still the basis for much of the work in this collection. The path of the sun across the sky, along with everyday signs of life and living form a rich and almost inexhaustible tapestry for research and reflection.

wilt

The big idea was to capture the wilting of a vase of tulips over many days. The first attempt is the top two pictures, followed by a second attempt two years later. My thanks to Andrea for the gift of the first tulips amd Kadi Rae for the gift of the second. Without your tulips, there would be no inspiration, and no pictures.

neighbors

My neighborhood is a terrific place, full of kids and people I am delighted to call my friends. I got the idea that my homemade pinhole cameras (see Drãnoflex) could be just left out in the neighborhood all day, because the cameras look like nasty short pieces of PVC drain pipe, which ironically, is exactly what they are.
