Hello!!
Welcome to our little trip journal... Just so you know... All of these pictures are literally point-and-shoot grab-bag mom-and-pop snaps of the interesting, silly and weird that we encounter - often just driving by. Of course, for the really interesting stuff, we stop, and make better pictures on film with our main gear. Stay tuned for a much refined vision of America - a body working-titled: "Heartland". I expect these images to evolve over the next months as we work through the process of developing and printing our film.

Unknown technologies. We haven't even read the manual for our little Nikon point and shoot. We're figuring out how it works as we go. We've also never had a computer on the road with us before. Dunno if we can manage daily uploads. Oh, well - this ain't art - but it's a record of the strange and wonderful encountered on our Vancouver to Florida and back roadtrip.
It's turning out that our fast outbound trip is leading to shooting out the window of our speeding truck...
Blasted little digicam doesn't fire when you want it to. It likes to wait a beat or two. On the other hand, this might be a feature, not a bug...
Had a little of everything in the weather today - sunny and hot; wet, cold and windy; and finally, a huge duststorm followed by an equally huge thunderstorm.
